Alcester Road/Station Road
Works are continuing in the New Year to upgrade the access into Stratford-upon-Avon Train Station.
National Grid Gas, BT Openreach and Severn Trent Water will be moving there underground equipment over the next few weeks to enable Alcester Road to be widened and a new set of Traffic Signals to be installed, as part of the Redrow Homes development. A new drainage system is currently being installed to ensure the new footway/cycleway is free from standing water.
Pedestrian access to the Train Station still remains via the newly constructed Brunel Way. Signage remains in place to direct pedestrians around the works.
The Council’s S278 highway works Contractor is still aiming to finish the scheme in March (weather permitting).
